Silver and Pink…
Hiya Blogland!!! Everyone having a wonderful weekend?? I’ve been taking advantage of a couple of cooler less humid days before it becomes miserable again by spending time outdoors!! Lots of gardening-I put up 6 quarts of green beans and need to pick again tonite!! Still waiting on the tomatoes!!
Gracie and I took a trip to another section of the C&O Canal Towpath for a long walk. This area is known as the Big Slackwater. The dam#4 on the Potomac makes a 12 mile long “lake” on the river that is popular with boaters and such. At this point on the canal the boats would go out into the river for a bit as it was “still”. They’d travel a few miles like this before going back into the canal as the river was too rough. The canal has a bit of water in it at this pint.

We met up with a six-foot long black snake (harmless) and Gracie was very curious–from behind my legs!! The old towpath is kept mowed–but most people travel the upper towpath closer to the river.
In other some-what exciting news-I will be migrating the blog over to BlogSpot the end of the month. WordPress is making me crazy–very little design flexibility unless I pay extra. BlogSpot allows me the flexibility for free and it’s much EASIER to use!! There will be notice here when it takes place. Same Menopausel Supermodel–fancier digs!!
Friday I had to go to town for some errands and a haircut. I decided to dress a little “nicer” and I’m glad–it’s just as easy but I felt FABULOUS!! The thrifts were a wash essentially. Here I am pre-haircut:

My hair is now all-natural silver grey–well except for the bright pink in front!! This outfit looks familiar as it’s a play on what I wore Thursday!!

I get a lot of positive feedback on the hair from ladies of a certain age and the teens!! I tell em-GO FOR IT!!! Life’s too short to be boring!

Your new “do” looks great!
You’ll like Blogger, it’s WAY easier. I couldn’t figure out WordPress — the then Director at my gallery started the gallery blog there and it baffled us two who managed the social media so we quickly switched it. Some people swear by it, others swear AT it!
Thanks Anne!! I’ve found you have to pay for the extras to make wordpress do what you want. That’s money I could spend at the thrift store!!

Love the maxi. In fact, both looks are great. You’re right…it doesn’t take much effort to dress up a little and it does feel better. Blogspot is definitely easier. I’m doing self-hosted wordpress and sometimes I think…wait…I should switch this over to free. More money for thrifting like someone else commented! Debbie @ ilovemylemonadelife.com P.S. Well–the humidity is jungle-like so it should look lush–lol We are hanging out inside as it’s MISERABLE!! at 1pm today it was 92 degrees with a 70% humidity so it feels like it’s 106 flippin’ degrees out!!

You go, girlfriend! If you want to keep the pink from fading you have to wash your hair in as cold a temperature water as you can stand. It’s great because you can yell out all your frustrations as the cold water hits your head ;-P
Nobody rocks a maxi like you do! They make you look long and lean – and I love that bag!

OH EM GEE!! Your pink hair with that gorgeous green top is superb!! I love it I love it. My best advice for keeping the pink is Atomic Pink by Special effects.

Your hair looks fantastic!!! I love that cut on you. I still haven’t tried pink on mine because I can’t imagine sitting around for three hours to color it. Guess I’ll just be silver.
The hair isn’t so hard–I put an old scarf over the parts I don’t wanna color–slap the Manic Panic on the part I do–secure it with a stretchy headband outts my face and multi-task for a few hours!!

It’s been both a horribly difficult year for you kids, and a rewarding one at the same time. Proud of you for loving a new baby, being considerate of the needs of your darling boy and honoring the one waiting for you elsewhere. Know she’s having a huge good time, while she keeps a watchful eye on you all. Good that you have pink hair, and you look quite fabulous in your summery stuff.
